Remembering Gael

Gone too soon. Disheartened to learn that Gael “G” Gallegos was called to rest yesterday. G was an important part of our last album, a talented musician and creative who will be sorely missed. Sending love and prayers to his partner Diana, friends and family in this difficult time.

Being an active member is far from glorious at times, with countless hours behind the scenes doing the good and necessary work. That’s why we say deeds over beads. And you have exemplified that. Album Anniversary: Pangea

Hard to imagine that it’s been 5 years since the release of Pangea: Hip Hop Heals Compilation, a compilation album spotlighting 50 artists representing 17 countries, speaking to their individual experiences during the Covid19 pandemic.

This project meant so much to me and in hindsight kept me sane and positive during extremely difficult times. With so much struggles and strife going on in the world and in my personal life, the music meant everything. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stepped in, stepped up and got involved, this couldn’t have been possible without your support!
